When aligning an object to the centre of your design, it is important to consider the optical centre (of both the object and the space).

Our design team often receives requests for objects to be "centred" on a design – the best option is for optical centre aligning. This can mean that measuring with a rule, the margins on each side of the page are not exactly the same. But when viewed, the object appears balanced.
