What is Die Cutting?

Die cutting is the process of cutting products to a unique shape. The process requires a “die” – a piece of wood with steel blades bent into the unique shape and embedded in the wood (in crude terms, a cookie cutter for paper).

The die is placed in a die cutting machine, which paper is fed into. The machine presses the die into the paper, cutting it into the unique shape.
