We proof "top-to-top" (or "head-to-head"), which means page 1 (the front design) and page 2 (the back design) of your proof will be printed so that the top of both pages share the same edge.
Here's the best way to understand this - look at page 1 of your proof and imagine flipping it to the left to see page 2, the same way you would turn a page of a book. Page 1 represents the front design and page 2 represents the back design.
As a general rule, you should create your artwork in the proper orientation you intend to use it in because the proof will be made exactly like it. We do not rotate artwork or make any modifications unless specifically requested by the customer.
The illustrations below show how the front and back of your design will be printed based on the orientation of the proof.
Horizontal or Landscape Designs
The top of these designs is on the long edge.

Vertical or Portrait Designs
The top of these designs should be on the short edge. However, while it's not recommended to be designed this way, vertical / portrait designs can also submitted with the top on the long edge as seen in example 2.
Example 3 is shows a vertical / portrait design created incorrectly. When a design like this is printed, it will be upside down when held vertically.
