Chipping can occur on products where a full bleed design is printed on both sides. It appears as small chips in the ink along the trim edge, and usually only occurs on one side of the product. This occurs most often with uncoated stock and digital output printing, and is more noticeable when using darker colours along the edge.
To avoid this, we recommend modifying your design so one side (front or back) does not have full bleed (full bleed = any printed artwork that extends all the way to the trim edge).
Another alternative is to change your order to a coated stock with Silk Matte Laminate coating.
While there is always a risk of some chipping on uncoated stocks especially, this is less noticeable with offset output print products.
