Essential Details
As you won’t be able to fit as much information compared to a standard business card, you should keep your design as simple as possible, displaying only the most essential of information.
If you do have information you need to share with your prospects but you don’t have the space to fit it on the front of your card, you add it to the back in a visually pleasing format.
Font Size
You will want to make your contact information visible and easy to digest, so make sure the font size you use is a minimum of 6pt.
Color
Use a relatively bright color for either the background of your card or for the main font, as this will really make your micro card pop.
Bleed
Bleed is the artwork that extends past the trim line or finished size of your product. If any element of your artwork is designed to be printed to the edge, it must be extended past the trim line and into the bleed area by a minimum of 0.125".
The addition of bleed compensates for uncontrollable shifts that occur during the printing and trimming process; and ensures that any content touching the edges does not leave unwanted gaps or borders.
Stock
The stock you choose for your order will determine other design considerations that pertain to that stock. Before you place your order, please make sure to review the specific page for the stock you chose, which can found under our Business Cards menu tab.
