Everything to know about White Ink Printing

Updated this week

White ink is one of the easiest ways to make your print look bold and unique, especially on darker papers. It gives your design contrast and clarity without the need for fancy finishes or high costs.

What stocks it's available on

We offer white ink on three paper types:

Brown Kraft
This natural, earthy stock pairs beautifully with white ink. It keeps the eco feel while adding contrast that makes your design stand out.

Colorplan
We carry over 50 Colorplan shades, so there’s no shortage of color options. The darker tones work especially well with white ink, creating bold, eye-catching results.

Classic Crest Epic Black
This premium black stock has a rich, velvety look. White ink prints clean and sharp on it, making it a favorite for simple, high-impact designs.

What you can print

White ink works well on all kinds of pieces:

  • Business cards

  • Postcards

  • Greeting cards

  • Wedding invites

  • Belly bands

  • Posters

  • Book covers

  • Packaging

  • And more

Fast turnaround

White printing is fast and can be produced in our 1 to 2 day turnaround, or even upgraded to rush same day printing.

File types we accept

We recommend sending vector artwork for the best results. You can upload:

  • PDF (vector preferred)

  • EPS

  • PSD

Raster files are fine too, but vector gives sharper results for small text and fine lines.

What can be printed in white

White ink can be used for logos, text, patterns, or illustrations. Just note we don’t print color over white ink.

How to set up your file

If you're using Illustrator:

  1. Make a new spot color swatch

  2. Name it White

  3. Apply it to any elements you want printed in white

Not sure how to do this? No problem. Upload your file and let us know what should be white. We’ll set it up for you. No extra charge.
