Updated over a week ago

At Jukebox, we ensure that your printed materials are of the highest quality. To achieve the best results, it's crucial to provide print-ready files that meet our specifications. Below, we've outlined the key requirements to help you prepare your files correctly.

1. File Format

  • Accepted Formats: PDF (preferred), AI, PSD, EPS, TIFF, JPG

  • Resolution: 300 dpi (dots per inch) minimum

  • Color Mode: CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black)

2. Bleed and Trim

  • Bleed: Include a 1/8 inch (0.125 inch or 3mm) bleed on all sides.

  • Trim Line: The trim line is where your design will be cut. Ensure important elements are within the safe zone, which is at least 1/8 inch (0.125 inch or 3mm) inside the trim line.

3. Safe Zone

  • Safe Zone: All critical text and images should be within the safe zone, away from the trim line, to avoid being cut off during the trimming process.

4. Fonts and Text

  • Font Embedding: Ensure all fonts are embedded or outlined in your file.

  • Minimum Font Size: Avoid using fonts that are 7pt or smaller to maintain readability.

5. Color Specifications

  • CMYK: Files must be in CMYK color mode to ensure color accuracy during printing.

  • Spot Colors: If using spot colors (Pantone), make sure they are defined correctly in your file.

6. Image Quality

  • Resolution: All images should be at least 300 dpi at 100% of their print size.

  • Color Profile: Use the CMYK color profile for all images.

7. File Size and Compression

  • File Size: Keep your file size under 100 MB when uploading online. For larger files, contact our support team for assistance.

  • Compression: Avoid compressing images excessively, which can lead to quality loss.

8. Special Finishes

  • Spot UV, Embossing, and Foiling: If your design includes special finishes, please provide separate layers or files for these elements, clearly labeled.

9. Proofing

  • Proofing Process: We recommend reviewing a proof of your file before printing. Ensure that all text, images, and colors are accurate.

10. Final Checklist

Before submitting your files, use this quick checklist:

□ File format is PDF, AI, PSD, EPS, TIFF, or JPG

□ Resolution is 300 dpi

□ Color mode is CMYK

□ Bleed and trim lines are correctly set up

□ Images are high quality (300 dpi) and in CMYK

□ All special finishes are correctly labeled
