When preparing your files for Digital Foil, it's essential to ensure that all elements you want foiled are in solid black. We don't need you to create files in the actual foil color—just focus on having your design in black. This allows us to accurately apply the foil to the designated areas during production. Below are examples that illustrate the correct and incorrect ways to set up your files for Digital Foil.
Left Image: Unacceptable Format
This file is flattened with colors already applied, making it unsuitable for Digital Foil production. The gold color in the image cannot be converted to foil.
Right Image: Acceptable Format
This file is prepared correctly with all elements in solid black. This indicates that the black areas will be produced in the foil color of your choice.
